Peer Interview

Nick Questioning Alex

Q: Do you think art that can be interpreted in any way is good or bad?
A: I think that no matter how clear an art form is, people will ultimately interpret in their own way regardless of the artists original intent. It’s not about how the artist views his work but rather how the outside person views it.
Q: What is your favorite type of art?
A: I would have to say novels, essays, and films. For me, I find emotional and spritiual or whatever your theme is expressed more deeply in these mediums. I can say that about a lot of other mediums too but the ones I said are the most influential to me.

Alex Questioning Nick

Q: How do you know if we are changing and creating ways that matter?
A: I don’t think you will ever know, it’s just the expression of the artist.
Q: What’s the obligation of the creators to the creation?
A: There’s no real obligation, there is only an obligation when you intend to make a piece that speaks to people other than you.
